Piano Camp for Kids
A two-week immersion program for kids who are serious about having fun with the piano.
The camp will feature daily workshops exploring all styles of music and key elements involved with playing the piano including the following areas:
Classical performance and technique
Jazz & Blues
The Piano in Pop Music
Accompanying other instruments
Boogie Woogie/Stride piano
Practice techniques (including daily practice time)
Piano Family: Harpsichords, Synthesizers, Accordions and more
Piano Yoga: Healthy Techniques
The Piano in Chamber Music
New Music for Piano
Piano for Two: Duets and Four-Handed Piano
A Visit to a Local Piano Factory
Playing in a Rock Band
Listening to the Great Pianists
Improvisation: Solo and in Groups
Student and Teacher Recitals
Recording the Piano
and more.
The kids will also learn and perform a special piece of new music for piano orchestra, commissioned for SUMMER THUMP!
All workshops and recitals will be recorded. Students will receive an extensive package of educational materials to take with them at the end of the camp.
There will be breaks every day for outdoor activities, lunch, morning and afternoon snacks.
Classes will be small and all students will receive individual attention to their playing, as well as being part of a huge array of fun, group activities and classes.

Age Groups: 7-10, 11-14
INTRODUCTORY RATE: $600 per week.
